Awkwafina

Awkwafina began as an American performer and rapper, making sly songs that addressed topics like racial or sexuality with a humorous twist. In the years before she stepped into Hollywood the singer was able to perform a variety of tracks. She was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants in Forest Hills Queens her first taste of musician life came via the trumpet. In the following years, she took up hip-hop and classical training. Following a focus on education, she graduated with an education in journalism at college and a women's studies specialization. After graduating, she began to concentrate on music. Her song My Vag which was her reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick, became a popular viral sensation on the Internet and was later featured on her first LP Yellow Ranger. It also contained songs that were viral such as body positive Queef or the winking city tour NYC Bitche$. The track that was the last one to be linked directly to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide released in the year 2015. She opted to pursue acting careers after having completed her two previous endeavors, author and musician. She's appeared in movies such as Neighbors 2, Storks, and Bad Rap. In the year 2018 she got several notable roles including Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released by In Fina We Trust in June of that year.
